160/365 - Farmer's Market

Every Thursday (from April to October), the farmer's market comes to downtown.

It was a bit chilly this morning (50s. booooo! Where'd that hot weather go?), but this view of the market caught my eye as I was walking to work through the skyway.

On kind of an unrelated note, I'll be out of town this weekend. Heading up north for a weekend of kayaking and biking. I leave tomorrow (right after my final) and return sometime on Monday. I'm super excited. And nervous. And excited!! :)

159/365 - Pinky toe

OUCH!

I innocently picked at my poor pinky toenail (I desparately need a pedi. Stat!), and it immediately started to bleed.

Uncontrollably.

158/365 - Slightly Inappropri​ate

It's gonna be a HOT out there today.

♥ IT!

To celebrate, I decided to wear a slightly-inappropriate-for-the-workplace summer dress today. It was still a little cool this morning and with the A/C on at work, I work a short-sleeved white sweater over the top.

157/365 - Grandma

About one year ago, my grandma died. She lived in AZ most of my life, so we weren't particularly close. (Nothing against AZ other than it's super far away from MN). Still, it was fun to gather with family in her honor. There was lots of reminiscing from my dad and his siblings.

At the luncheon following the service, there were cacti on all the table. I brought this one home with me, and it's been on my desk at work ever since.

Apparently, my grandma loved cacti!

One of her sons called her the Cactus Lady.

Now, I can think of her from time to time whenever I look at this little cactus on my desk.

156/365 - Fridge

Are you ready for summer?! It's been a gorgeously HOT weekend.

I'm loving it! :)

We stocked up our fridge with all kinds of yummy beverages

that make me think of summer.

I found myself with a few extra minutes on my way to work this morning, so I stopped to snap some pictures of different flowers that I walk by every day.

152/365 - Caterpillars

The sidewalk on campus was littered with caterpillars tonight on my walk home. I had to watch every step I took to ensure that I didn't step on any by accident.
