21/365 - Unpacking

I hate unpacking nearly as much as I hate packing.

Our bags were dropped here in the living room when we got home Wed night.

Here in the living room is where they have stayed.

Even though I did rummage through them a bit Thursday morning to retrieve some toiletries.

I've vowed that tomorrow I will unpack, do laundry, and take down the Christmas decorations.

18/365 - Monkey Tree

Place: Outside our cabinas, Costa Rica

As we were packing up for our long drive back to San Jose, some of our cabina neighbors popped in to tell us there were loads of monkeys in the trees outside our cabinas.

There are several up in this tree.

We took lots of pictures of these fun little howling monkeys! We could've watched them. all. day. long.

17/365 - Flirty Skirt

We found the cutest little dress shop!

I got a fabulous dress, 3 skirts, and 3 tops all for less than $40.

This is one of my fun new skirts.

16/365 - Birdie

I fell in love with these little birds. They were usually in a group of at least three.

They would run along the beach, sticking their beaks into the sand.

When the waves would reach up to their little feet they would run up shore.

It was so fun to watch their little legs go!

If you look closely at this pic, you'll see that my top is down around my waist.

We discovered that this bikini was pretty much rubbish for staying on while getting hit by the waves. Both the bottoms and top kept falling off.

Jasper, of course, was all good with it.

11/365 - Rainbow

Today, we drove from our lodge at the Arenal Volcano to our cabina near Nosara.

We stopped a few times along the way to snap some pictures.

I loved this one because the view was stunning, but also I loved the rainbow.

It was so clear and beautiful. The picture doesn't do it justice.

10/365 - Arenal Volcano

There were so many amazing pictures from today!

But this one wins the picture of the day because we're staying at the Arenal Volcano Observatory Lodge, and this was the first time that we could see the top of the volcano!!

9/365 - Adventure

Today was our adventure day in Costa Rica.

I learned that I do not enjoy horsebacking riding.

At all.

I learned that ziplining through the jungle canopy was so. much. fun

(and not nearly as scary as being on a horse)!

8/365 - Lunch

Good news! The lodge we're staying at has free WiFi. :)

I still won't be blogging, but I can still post my Project 365 pics. Yay!

This was my lunch today.

The menu called it "A Typical Costa Rican dish."

Basically black beans and rice with beef in a tomato sauce.

So yummy!
