I hung out with my sister at the mall tonight.

Imagine our surprise when we stumbled upon this store.

The prices are very reasonable, and the dressings rooms areincredibly cute.

I pass this door way several times every day, as it is on the way to the bathroom. It cracks me up every time. I mean this is in an professional office building, which means the NO on this sign was removed (quite well, actually) by a grown adult. Hilarious!!

24/365 - Spearfish

I can't believe I've already missed two days (three if you count this one)!!

Still, I want to keep this going...even if it ends up being riddled with holes.

Tonight, I didn't feel like making dinner when I got home from work,

and the restaurant in the basement of our building smelled so very, very good.

So, I told J we should eat there, and I promptly made reservations.

I realize the quality of this picture isn't the greatest (I thought the lighting was bright enough for a pic with my phone, but I should've grabbed my actual camera. oh well.), but here is a picture of the spearfish I enjoyed for dinner. I'm not normally much of a fish eater, but I'm trying to branch out and try to incorporate more fish into my diet. It was pretty tasty and the texture wasn't bad either.



I only actually ate about half before I was full. The waitress suggested we eat the remainder cold over a salad. Guess that will be tomorrow's dinner. :)

21/365 - Unpacking

I hate unpacking nearly as much as I hate packing.

Our bags were dropped here in the living room when we got home Wed night.

Here in the living room is where they have stayed.

Even though I did rummage through them a bit Thursday morning to retrieve some toiletries.

As we were packing up for our long drive back to San Jose, some of our cabina neighbors popped in to tell us there were loads of monkeys in the trees outside our cabinas.

There are several up in this tree.

We took lots of pictures of these fun little howling monkeys! We could've watched them. all. day. long.

17/365 - Flirty Skirt

We found the cutest little dress shop!

I got a fabulous dress, 3 skirts, and 3 tops all for less than $40.

This is one of my fun new skirts.

16/365 - Birdie

I fell in love with these little birds. They were usually in a group of at least three.

They would run along the beach, sticking their beaks into the sand.

When the waves would reach up to their little feet they would run up shore.

It was so fun to watch their little legs go!

If you look closely at this pic, you'll see that my top is down around my waist.

We discovered that this bikini was pretty much rubbish for staying on while getting hit by the waves. Both the bottoms and top kept falling off.

Jasper, of course, was all good with it.

11/365 - Rainbow

Today, we drove from our lodge at the Arenal Volcano to our cabina near Nosara.

We stopped a few times along the way to snap some pictures.

I loved this one because the view was stunning, but also I loved the rainbow.

It was so clear and beautiful. The picture doesn't do it justice.

There were so many amazing pictures from today!

But this one wins the picture of the day because we're staying at the Arenal Volcano Observatory Lodge, and this was the first time that we could see the top of the volcano!!

Today was our adventure day in Costa Rica.

I learned that I do not enjoy horsebacking riding.

At all.

I learned that ziplining through the jungle canopy was so. much. fun

(and not nearly as scary as being on a horse)!

Good news! The lodge we're staying at has free WiFi. :)

I still won't be blogging, but I can still post my Project 365 pics. Yay!

This was my lunch today.

The menu called it "A Typical Costa Rican dish."

Basically black beans and rice with beef in a tomato sauce.

Today was kind of a rough day.

Our visit to the travel clinic took nearly TWO hours, and we each only got ONE shot!

It was ridiculous how repetitive this doctor was.

I finally got to work 3 hours late!

Luckily, I was able to work late to make up some of the time. :)

This little girl always makes me smile when I get home from a long day!

Today is Sallie's debut on Lola's Project 365.

3/365 - Broken Nail

Ok. I really hope this isn't a trend that continues throughout the year.

2011 is starting out to be quite shitty. :(

Cold sores.

Acne.

Today, I got to add throbbing headache and broken fingernail to the mix.

Yeah, I'm going to whine about a broken nail.

Because it fucking hurts!

Add to all this, Jasper is sicker than a dog.

Sore throat.

Throbbing headache.

Temperature of 102F.

When he went to the doctor today, he asked about shots before going to Costa Rica.

Probably should've asked about this weeks ago.

So, bright and early in the morning, we'll be heading to the travel clinic to get pumped full of who knows what.

Blah!

Costa Rica better be damn worth it!

Let's not even mention that I still. have. not. started packing! ARGH!

Here's hoping for a better tomorrow.

2/365 - Toes

Ok. So my day totally did NOT go according to plan.

I was going to get my laundry done and do the majority of my packing.

I thought, perhaps, a picture of either would've been good for Day 2.

I did finish the laundry.

Jasper did bring the luggage in from the garage.

I did not start packing.

I did make a cake for dessert at my parents house.

Well, I had to finish the frosting and do the assembly there,

but a cake was made.

Another photo op you say?



Sure.

If I hadn't been pressed for time because some people had to leave.

If the cake had turned out even remotely well.

Alas, no pic of the disaster of a cake. :(

On the way home, I thought I can't let this project fail on Day 2!

What I can take a picture of?

I'm sure everyone would be satisfied with a naked picture.

But I wasn't really feeling it.

Oh, I know! I can take a picture in my new bikini.



Less than 5 days until I leave for Costa Rica!

But I don't feel like putting it on right now.

I'm so tired.

As I got undressed, I noticed my pretty red toenails.

I haven't painted my toenails in probably a good year and a half.

But I painted them for NYE.

And tonight, in my scramble for Day 2's photo, they really grabbed my attention.

Yesterday, I felt a cold sore coming on (2nd outbreak this season!).

Plus, I am currently being plagued by a ton of stupid adult acne.

I certainly hope this is not an indication of how 2011 is going to go!
