199/365 - Sauna

It's been ridiculously hot and humid the past few days.

I'm talking the whole outside is just one big sauna.

Where I have to wear clothing. Booooo!

I'm trying to be positive about it.

(I actually really love hot weather.)

Because next summer we're planning to move to the USVI
where it will be a sauna most days of the years.

So, these days are kind of like practice.

Plus, I get to wear cute sun dresses.

Without a bra.

It was hot and humid and sticky,

but we still biked to a local park for a picnic with some friends.

So, I donned my bikini top and my short skirt to do my housework.

Today, I received my Open Water Scuba certification. After our two dives this morning, I was sporting some really fantastic scuba hair while putting away all our gear.

The product I tried out yesterday claimed that some people saw results after just one overnight application. This was not true in my case. :(

My adult acne has been plaguing me for most of 2011. I finally got so frustrated by it that I actually bought some face wash, astringent, acne treatment to try to combat it. This is the first day I used it. I wanted a before picture. Now, let's see how long it will take to get a good after picture.

I went for a bike ride after work today.

21.6 miles.

I woke up this morning and started to do some Project 365 catch-up. I found this picture on the camera. Jasper must have snapped it when his two girls were sleeping last night. I must have been HOT! :) Jasper just told me that shortly before he snapped these pictures, we were sleeping pretty much in exactly the same position. Such little cuties, aren't we?!

I ran my first 5K of 2011 this morning. It was a great race!!

My official time was 30:19 with an average pace of 9:45.

I finished #83 (out of 164) overall and #10 (out 31) in my age division.

I was very pleased with my performance.

All finishers were given a rose.

Our massage therapist was finally able to come over, and I was finally able to get the massage I'd been looking forward to for 3 whole weeks! Here I am all ready for the release to begin.

It was raining pretty hard when I went to work this morning. I didn't think an umbrella would cut it, so I opted for the whole shebang.

The final adventure of my weekend was spent hiking in a couple state parks.

This picture was a complete accident. I was adjusting the position of my camera and mistakenly hit the button to snap the picture. I was just going to delete it, but I thought it actually turned out pretty neat.

Today's adventure was a bike ride.

My total distance of the day was 41.7 miles. Whoo!

I did the first 10 miles all by myself and was the first to arrive at the lunch stop. I waited for roughly an hour or so for my friend to arrive, so we could finish the ride together.

While killing time, I spent some time swinging on the park equipment.

OUCH!

I innocently picked at my poor pinky toenail (I desparately need a pedi. Stat!), and it immediately started to bleed.
