153/365 - Flowers

I found myself with a few extra minutes on my way to work this morning, so I stopped to snap some pictures of different flowers that I walk by every day.

Lily of the Valleys

Time: 7:00am
Place: Outside

Bleeding Hearts

I'm not sure what kind these are, but I thought they were pretty!

I ♥ Flowers!

  1. I think the last one is a geranium. At the risk of sounding less than manly, I love flowers, too.

  2. @Marcus, I checked the marker in the planter, and sure enough, the last picture is of geraniums. I'm impressed you knew that! I don't think loving flowers lessens your intoxicating manliness in the least. I love that you love flowers. :)

  3. Kudos to you for not taking the world's beauty for granted. There is so much out there to notice and appreciate, but most people walk by without sparing a moment or a glance. We've tried to make more of an effort to stop and smell the flowers (figuratively and literally) ever since our baby was born. Once she began to notice the world around her, Jack and I loved to watch her take it all in. Every cloud in the sky, every leaf on the ground, every breeze that moved the trees was something she stared at and wanted to know more about. It really helped us to see the world and its beauty in a new way.

  4. This is really a sweet comment. I'm glad that your daughter has helped to awaken this in the two of you. It is important to slow and take in this little things.
